FFL Midrand answered the call when Mazars, a global Auditing, Accountancy and Tax Advisory firm with branches in 79 countries, asked for an organization where their staff could contribute 67 minutes to celebrate Mandela Day on 18th July.
FFL Midrand referred the Mazars team to the New Jerusalem Children’s Home in President Park. They were warmly received by Anna Mojapelo and her dedicated team.
The Mazars team donated 50 boxes of pizzas, clothing, 60 handmade blankets and groceries to the value of R5000.00. The Mazars team was so impressed with the home and will assist with providing mentorship, scholarships, learnerships and job placement opportunities to the older children especially those looking to embark on a career in the accounting field in the near future.
It was a fun day out with Anna remarking that she loves the FFL team and was very grateful for the opportunity to welcome new corporate partners into the Home’s support network. The Mazars team was equally grateful and thanked the FFL team for making the day extra meaningful and special.
We will soon provide the FFL Corporate Profile together with the benefits that corporates can enjoy by contributing to the growth of FFL Midrand. This is over and above the benevolent feeling of doing good and giving aid to those who are most in need, our children. We encourage you to share this profile with your employers and associates. As a business owner you can immediately enjoy the tax exemptions and BEE benefits by contributing to this amazing initiative.

Friday, 9 June 2017: On a breezy and chilly morning in Gauteng, Food For Life (FFL) Midrand’s volunteers selflessly prepared 300 meals for underprivileged children who gather at Elizabeth’s Nest, based in Rabie Ridge, Tembisa.
FFL Midrand’s volunteers made their way through to a godsend of a place, i.e. Elizabeth’s Nest, founded by Elizabeth Mthimunye, who accepted the food with warm open arms. She is a loving and well organised person who believes that no child should go to school or come back from school with an empty tummy.
Elizabeth feeds and welcomes all kids to her private dwelling and provides them with a wholesome meal. The meals provided by FFL Midrand filled many of the kids’ tummies and they were excited about the warm meal.
A special thank you to FFL Midrand’s warriors Shaun Rai and Vishel Roopram who transported the meals and assisted at the home, and to our first-time volunteer Tebogo Hlakudi, who selflessly gave up her time to assist.
