Yesterday Food For Life KwaMashu once again partnered with the charitable couple, Malthi and Des together with Tiger and the rest of their team to serve the disadvantaged members of the Red Cliff community in Verulam. The metro police also kindly offered assistance by transporting the meals for the children.

A number of underprivileged children gathered and waited in anticipation to their turn for some divine breyani. An interview with Des revealed that a few weeks ago someone took notice of the children digging into bins as they forage for food which sparked a desire in Des to provide a platform to help these needy children. Both children and adults enjoyed the hot breyani at Redcliff. Children came from far and wide around this area. Des’s team also gave them clothing and food hampers, including soup mix for their families.

The children treated the team to some ethnic music and dance as a token of appreciation prior to the feed. Food for Life KwaMashu wishes to extend their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Des and the team for their generosity and acts of kindness.

You too can partner with us in alleviating poverty and helping to create a hunger free South African nation.
