uMngeni and District community Health Services Launch – Howick

Food for life held a feeding program in Howick on Saturday 3 August 2013. We fed at the launch of the uMngeni and District community Health services. A few associations got together with the help of retired (mostly) nurses and doctors to offer free health services to the underprivileged communities. They do free blood tests and checkups, and where necessary refer the people to the proper hospitals or clinics for further tests. Food for life is happy to be a part of this program to provide free, nutritious meals to the needy, and we look forward to partnering with this team for future programs. After this program, we fed at 2 other underprivileged areas in Howick. Below are some pics from these feedings.
