The staff at Leliebloem House regularly arrange family reunification events, to integrate the kids with their immediate and extended families after staying at the centre for periods of up to 6 months. This past weekend, with the help of Heart FM, organisers of Miss Deaf SA, some Danish students and other contributors, the child and youth care centre arranged a fun, rowdy fashion contest, with eager and willing participants and some boisterous crowds.
After the fashion show, staff, kids and volunteers welcomed the food and drinks provided by Food for Life Cape Town. We received a number of compliments for the tasty food.
